Learna Partners with Max Healthcare to Expand Postgraduate Medical Education in India

Learna, the UK-based leader in online postgraduate medical education, has announced a strategic partnership with Max Healthcare, one of India's largest private healthcare organisations. The collaboration will deliver a suite of high-quality postgraduate diploma programmes designed specifically for practising doctors, expanding access to flexible, internationally recognised medical education across India.

Why this partnership matters

India's healthcare sector continues to expand rapidly, alongside growing demand for postgraduate medical education that supports practising doctors in developing advanced knowledge alongside their roles. With over 1.3 million registered allopathic doctors across India — and a doctor-to-population ratio of approximately 1:811 — access to flexible, structured postgraduate study remains a key consideration (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 2026).

Learna's fully online, part-time model enables doctors to engage with structured academic study without stepping away from clinical practice. Through this collaboration, programmes will be delivered in the context of Max Healthcare's network of 22 hospitals and more than 5,200 beds across India, creating greater access to internationally recognised qualifications for doctors nationwide.

Three Postgraduate Diploma programmes will welcome their first cohort of students in September 2026:

• Postgraduate Diploma in Cardiology
• Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care
• Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes
